LODGE 1186 Southern California Did you know?   Automotive Lodge 1186 came into existance and was chartered in January 1937. In the last 58 years our Local has represented members in many large companies, including United Parcel Service, Greyhound, ABF Freight, other major trucking companies as well as the food and bakery industries. With the decline of membership and many companies going out of business the Local still has over 1,000 members and continues to maintain a strong financial position for it's membership. We proudly maintain a yearly Shop Steward and Retiree Dinner dance to thank them for a job well done. Shop Stewards who are unpaid are the backbone of this organization and donate many hours policing the various labor aggreements. Retiree's are the ones who have sacrificed and indured strikes and lockouts in order to gain the many benefits we today enjoy.
